"Our hometown Ichikawa, symbolized by the placid waters of Edogawa River and the lush pine trees, with its venerable history and tradition, deserves to be the center for convenient living and education. To protect Ichikawa's ideals and to make it more vibrant, we the citizens, promised to:
  • create a city that is clean, safe , and easy to live in
  • create a city that is generous and filled with hope
  • create a city that gives a high regard for the values of education and culture
  • create a city that is healthy, sound, and pleasant to work in
  • create a city with a social service that will guarantee the citizens' happiness"
