November 3, 1977 - SAFE CITY DECLARATION

"To protect Ichikawa's pride as a city of culture means to respect the lives of the citizens and to deeply understand the principles behind the progress of its industrial culture. To accomplish this, the city encourages a comprehensive coordination with every safety-related organization in the city, in order to create a safe environment for the citizens to live in, and to help elevate their awareness of safety. Together with the support of the citizens, Ichikawa strives to be a good and responsible city that ensures a safe environment for the citizens to live comfortably and free from anxiety. With this, we declare Ichikawa City as a Safe City."
