Mayor of Issy-les-Moulineaux has visited Ichikawa City

Mr. André Santini, Mayor of Issy-les-Moulineaux in French Republic, Minister for the Budget, Public Accounts, and the Civil Service, was invited by the Foreign Ministry of Japan, and has visited Ichikawa City taking this opportunity.
Issy-les-Moulineaux belongs to the Huts-de-Seine department in Ile-de-France, and lies southwest of Paris. The population of this city is 63,000, and surface area is 425 ha. Issy-les-Moulineau is making exciting progress with 20% of the average rate of population increase since 1999. The city also focuses on the policy for e-municipality.
Issy-les-Moulineaux wants to have the exchange and cooperation with municipalities in the Tokyo metropolitan area in the field of administrative management by IT, and now exchange information with our city considering the interchange of both cities. Under these circumstances, the visit to Ichikawa of Mr. André Santini, Mayor of Issy-les-Moulineaux and three other members of the party has been realized on March 7, 2009.
When they visited our city, they toured　several facilities in Ichikawa. They expressed their will to the interchange of the IT field between both cities in the future.

Serving of Tea Ceremony

They have experienced tea ceremony under the cooperation of　citizens' group for tea ceremony. They were very impressed by Japanese traditional culture, tea ceremony.

Visiting of Nichirensyu Daihonzan Hokekyoji

They visited "Soshido" where the Stature of Nichiren carved by Priest Nippo was enshrined.

Visiting of Central Library

They visited Central Library and listened sincerely to the explanation of the staff.
The staff made the explanation about the outline and IT related measures of Ichikawa City.

Visiting of Junior High School

They were welcomed by many students at Fukuei Junior High School. They learned about a day of Japanese junior high school students, and also observed the activity of PC club. 

Visiting I-link Town Ichikawa the Towers West

They enjoyed the panoramic view of our city from the rooftop of the I-link Town Ichikawa the Towers West.
