Ichikawa City's foundation anniversary - November 3
In November 1934, the municipality of Ichikawa was established following the merger of 3 towns, namely, Ichikawa, Yawata, and Nakayama, and the village of Kokubun (with a population of about 41,000, the third largest in the prefecture).
