Manufacturing Industry

The manufacturing industry of Ichikawa City is classified into light industries, which is mainly located in the inland areas and heavy industries, located in the coastal areas of the city.

 

Many small and medium-scale industries related to daily living such as, clothing, food items, publishing, as well as metal processing are located mainly in the interior part of the city. On the other side, industries related to metals, iron, steel, oil, and chemical products have been transferred to a reclaimed land along the coastal area since 1957 and have become a significant part of the Tokyo-Chiba Industrial Zone.
The Commerce and Industry Promotion Section is making efforts to provide good business environment for the entrepreneurs to enable them to operate their business smoothly.
