In March 2002, this former residential property with a wide garden was donated by Tsukiye Yoshizawa to the city and was converted into an art gallery called, Yoshizawa Garden Gallery which opened to the public on September 26, 2004.
The premise, with a total land area of 3,300 square meters, was called, "Garden Gallery" because of its spacious garden. In this garden, people can enjoy watching the beautiful flowers and trees of every season. Moreover, for the citizens in the vicinity to relish arts and culture, various events or projects are organized and implemented.
On October 12 (Sunday), the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra members will present its String Quartet ensemble's "Bohemian Sentimental Journey" concert.
