Main Activities of a Neighborhood Association
There are about 222 neighborhood associations in Ichikawa City where most residents are registered. In the neighborhood association, the residents organize various activities and work together to promote friendly relations and understanding among neighbors that will create a good living environment.

| Maintenance of safety lights | Setting-up and maintenance of safety lights on streets that will help to prevent occurrence of crime against passers-by at night. |

| Publicity activities | Circulation and distribution of community information that is vital to the daily living of residents in the neighborhood. |
| Activities promoting social welfare | Collecting donations for Red Feather Fundraising Campaign and contributing to other activities promoting social welfare. |
| Volunteer Activities | Organizing celebrations for elderly citizens and offering condolences/contribution to funerals |
| Training Activities | One-day bus trip for training activities of members and officers and holding of various training or study activities. |
