A Suwada Monument

This park was built around the historic Suwada Monument, originating from the Yayoi Period.  During an archaeological investigation of this site, the remains of five residences were found.  Roofing tiles with impressions, patterned tiles, and earthenware with ink writing were excavated.

The park is home to the poem tablet "Suwada" by Chinese literary scholar Guo Moruo, as well as a rose corner.  It is a popular spot for cherry blossom viewing.
