update: Nov 25,2009
Children from other countries, who have transferred their residence to Ichikawa City, do not have an obligation to attend Japanese schools. However, should they wish to study in the city's elementary and junior high schools, they are required to apply at the Ichikawa City Board of Education. For more details regarding the entrance application, please inquire at the Board of Education Compulsory Education Section (Gimukyoiku-ka), School Affairs Office. Please bring the Alien Registration Card of the child during application.
