Ichikawa City's Community service point system attempts to promote the citizens' active participation in various civic activities, such as volunteer activities, ecological activities, e-monitor survey participation, while earning points for doing so. The points they have collected can be exchanged for using the city's facilities or they may choose to donate them to the 1% Support System to help some volunteer groups. This community service point system's moniker is ECOVO POINT.
Ecovo Points are given to the following activities or services:

- Participation in city-sponsored volunteer activities (Blood donation, Edogawa River Clean-up Campaign, and Patrol for City's Safety) will earn 20 points for one time of service.
- Participation in city-sponsored lectures/courses such as, "Prevention of Lifestyle–Related Diseases" and "Promotion of Healthy City Initiatives" (10 points for one time of attendance)
- The use of aluminum can collection machine when disposing cans (1 point for 2 aluminum cans)
- Supporting "My Bag Campaign" (bringing your own shopping bag) will earn eco-points that can be exchanged for Ecovo points (15 Eco-points can be exchanged for 15 Ecovo points).
- Participation in clean-up activities and crime prevention activities sponsored by autonomous regional committees and civic organizations (20 points for one time of service).
