New Information-Vaccination vouchers were sent for those who received the first/second dose of a vaccine and 18 years or older by the end of November. If it doesn't reach you by mid-March, please contact the call center or apply from the web form below.
-Mass vaccination will start at JA Ichikawa from March 12, and at the Gender Equality Center from April 5 with Moderna vaccines. Starting from April 2022, the vaccines to be administered at Ichikawa Grand Hotel and Shiohama Civic Gymnasium will be changed from Pfizer to Moderna
-Mass vaccination set up by Chiba Prefecture started from Tuesday, February 15. Mass vaccination center set up by Self Defence Forces is operating in Tokyo and Osaka. For details, please refer to the "Other vaccination sites" .
- People aged 18 of age or over can make a booster appointment six months after the primary series of 2 doses.
- Booster appointments at individual medical institutions for March opened on Tuesday, February 15, 2022. As each medical institution starts accepting booster appointments on a different date, the appointment availability will be announced sequentially.
-The Japanese government has announced that the mix-and-match approach (heterologous vaccinations) is seen as effective and safe. For this reason, Ichikawa City has set up a system in which eligible residents can choose between Pfizer vaccines and Moderna vaccines.
-From Tuesday, February 1st, free shuttle bus is operating from Minami-Gyotoku Station to the Hiroo Disaster Prevention Park.

 Vaccines to be administered
Regardless of the vaccines that were administered in your initial series, the mix-and-match approach has become available for boosters, using Pfizer and Moderna vaccines. In Ichikawa City, eligible residents can choose a vaccine that they wish to be vaccinated with using the mix-and-match approach. The Japanese government has announced that the mix-and-match approach (heterologous vaccinations) is seen as effective and safe. The amount of the Moderna booster vaccine to be inoculated is half of the first and second doses. Please consider Moderna vaccine as your booster shot.

(1)【Preparation for the appointment】Prepare the vaccination voucher
The city has sent eligible residents an envelope containing the vaccination voucher. To make a vaccination appointment, the "voucher number" written on your voucher is needed in addition to your name and date of birth (in the western calendar).

(Note 1)The vaccination voucher is printed on a sticker. Please do not remove it or cut it off, and keep it intact until you get to the vaccination venue.
(Note 2)If you have an underlying medical condition, please be sure to consult with your family doctor whether or not you can be vaccinated. It is also advisable that your family doctor administer the vaccination, if you have a family doctor.

A waiting list will automatically open when appointments for one week are fully booked (all medical institutions are fully booked).The waiting list will be divided into east, west, south and north areas by address. Please refer to the following table for the classification of each address.

(2) How to use the service
1. Apply for the waiting list from here.
2. When a cancellation is made where you are on the waiting list, the call center will call you at the phone number you provided when you applied.
3. If the vaccination site and time suit you, your appointment will be booked. You need to arrive the vaccination site within an hour after receiving the call.
-The call center will call you in the order in which you apply. Please note, in case you didn’t answer the phone, the next person in line may get an appointment first.
-After you are on the wating list, you cannot change the content of your application. If you need to change, please cancel your application first from the link listed in the e-mail sent to you and apply again.

Parking space is avilable at each vaccination site (except for the Ichikawa Grand Hotel and the Public Health Center, and Gender Equality Center. Parking space at Hiroo Disaster Prevention Park is not free of charge), but due to the limited space, please use the public transportation or the free bus shuttle services as much as possible. There is no space for bicycle parking at the Ichikawa Grand Hotel, either.

【On the day of vaccination】 Precautions before receiving the vaccine
Please print a preliminary examination form in the language you speak from the link below, and fill out the sheet and bring it with you to the vaccination venue on the day of your appointment. On the day of vaccination, be sure to take your body temperature, and if you have an obvious fever (37.5 degree or higher), please refrain from vaccination and contact the call center.

In case of cancelling your appointment by the day before your reserved date, please complete the procedure on the web, or contact the Ichikawa city new coronavirus call center. 【After vaccination】Points to note after receiving the vaccine
- Confirm if your physical condition is normal
Please wait at the vaccination venue for about 15 minutes, or about 30 minutes if you have had severe allergic symptoms in the past.
- Protect the injection site
Bathing is acceptable, but do not rub the injection site
- Avoid strenuous exercise and excessive alcohol consumption.
Please keep your vaccination certificate in a safe place. A sticker will be placed on the Certificate of Vaccination for those who have been vaccinated. This will serve as proof of vaccination.
