1.Enjoy the Ichikawa Events Day

The Ichikawa Residents’ Festival is going to be held for the first time in three years on Thursday, November 3. Furthermore, three more events are also going to be held on the same day. Let’s enjoy Ichikawa’s most exciting day of the year!

The 47th Ichikawa Residents’ Festival

Venue: Osu Bosai Park (1-18, Osu)

Gyotoku Shrine Tour

The tour will take you to shrines in the Gyotoku area, Gyotoku Fureai Museum and Gyotoku Shrine Museum.

Please enjoy a portable shrine exhibition and a stamp rally during the tour.

Ichikawa German Day 2022

Southern Italy Caserta Fair

Venue: Road Station Ichikawa (6-10-1, Kokubun）

2.COVID vaccines updates

Bivalent COVID-19 vaccines are now available

Ichikawa City started administering bivalent COVID-19 vaccines on October 1, 2022. Please consider getting a booster with the bivalent vaccines.

Eligibility: Those who are 12 years of age or over, and were boosted once more than 5 months ago.
Vaccination vouchers will be sent out sequentially. You can also get the bivalent vaccine using your unused 2nd and 3rd booster voucher that has been already sent out to you.

3.Flu vaccination fees for children are subsidized

The city subsidizes the influenza vaccination fees for children in order to prevent seasonal flus and COVID-19 infections from spreading at the same time, and to help lessen the burden on medical institutions.

Requirement: Eligible residents must be vaccinated by Tuesday, January 31, 2023.
Eligibility: Children between 6-months of age and Grade 6 who are registered residents of Ichikawa City as of the date of vaccination.
Subsidies: two doses of vaccines (up to 3,000 yen per time).
How to apply: Please send an original receipt and other required documents to the Division for Illness Prevention (4-18-8, Minami Yawata, postal code 272-0023) by post between Tuesday, November 1 and Tuesday, February 28, 2023. For more information, please see the Ichikawa City official website:

4.2022 Ichikawa Rose Fair

The 2022 Ichikawa Rose Fair is going to be held by monitoring COVID-19 safety measures this year. There will be no opening ceremony or flea market.

Date and time: Saturday, October 15, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. (It will be postponed to the following day in case of rain.)
Venue: Satomi Park (3-9, Konodai)
Sales: Roses, plants, flowers, rose confectionery, bread, fresh vegetables, etc.
