1. Ichikawa German Day 2023

As a part of exchange programs with Rosenheim City（Bavaria, Germany）, a partner city of Ichikawa, the city is going to hold an “Ichikawa German Day” in the open air for the first time in four years to promote the food and culture of Germany.

Saturday, October 7, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
※The event will be cancelled in case of severe weather.

（1）Sales of German related food, beverages and other merchandise including beer and sausages
（2）Ornamental “suncatcher“ workshop

2. Penal provisions relating to “city regulations on dumping oyster shells and other items in the Edogawa River discharge channel in Ichikawa City” will soon be put into effect

Starting from Sunday, October 1, 2023, violators will be imposed a 5,000-yen fine.
In order to conserve the environment, the city asks for your understanding and cooperation.

3. Support system for compulsory education system

For parents/guardians who are facing financial difficulties in paying for necessary expenses incurred in compulsory education, the city will pay for a part of expenses.

【Contents of support】
（1）Enrollment incentive expenses such as class fees and student council fees
（2）School supplies
（3）Extracurricular activity fees（without overnight stays）
（4）Extracurricular activity fees（including overnight stays）
（5）School trip fees
（6）Graduation yearbook fees
（7）Physical education equipment fees（junior high schools only）
※Those in receipt of public assistance are eligible for（3）and（5）only.

【Eligibility】
Guardians/parents who live in Ichikawa City who meet the requirement ① or ②.
①Those who are in receipt of social welfare.
②Those who are facing financial difficulties equal to households receiving assistance.

【How to apply】
Please fill out an application form, which is available at each school, and submit it to the school along with required documents. Results will be notified by school.

4.“Relief fund for Hawaii, USA 2023” has been set up

The Japanese Red Cross Society is accepting donations to help the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies with their relief and reconstruction work related to humanitarian assistance in Maui wildfires in the State of Hawaii.

いちかわし　えどがわほうすいろに　かき（かいの　なまえ）の　からなどを　とうき（すてること）することは　じょうれい（きまり）で　きんし（しては　いけないこと）されています。
10がつ　1にち（にちようび）から　ばっそくきてい（きまりを　まもらない　ひとに　かりょうを　はらってもらうことを　かいたもの）が　しこう（じっしされる　じょうたい　になること）され　いはんしゃ（きまりを　まもらない　ひと）は　5,000えんを　はらわなくては　いけません。
かんきょうの　ほぜん（まもって　あんぜんに　すること）のために　りかいと　きょうりょくを　おねがいします。
