1. COVID vaccine updates

You can get vaccinated without a reservation at the Yamazaki Baking Corporate Pension Fund House venue.
Please note, the venue is closed between 11:30 a.m. on Monday, September 12 and 1 p.m. Wednesday, September 14.

2. Ichikawa Sports Festa

The city will hold the Ichikawa Sports Festa next month. It is an event in which participants will have a chance to interact with professional/amateur athletes, take lessons from them, and to experience various sports. Let’s play sports together on Sports Day!
Please note, some categories require online reservations from the Ichikawa City official website.

Date: Monday, October 10 (public holiday)

3. Sales of Ichikawa marine products

Ichikawa city’s marine products will be sold this month. It’s a chance to purchase a variety of products such as Asian hard clams, seaweed and Chiba Prefecture-branded hard clams. Some items may not be available depending on the weather. Sales will end as items sell out.

Date and time: Sunday, September 18 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

4. October Talk Salon: Origami lesson

The October Talk Salon, organized by the Foreign Residents Committee at the Ichikawa International Exchange Association (IIA), will offer origami lessons together with the Gardena City Committee to create New Year decorations and toys.

Date and time: Saturday, October 1 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Venue: International Lounge (2-4-8 Yawata, Former Yawata Citizens’ Lounge 3F)
Quota: 10 persons. Reservations required. Reservation deadline: Sunday, September 25.

5. Support for Ukraine – Dance Festival

Nica Latina, a dance studio based in the city, is going to host a dance event next month. Tickets are on sale now. Proceeds will be donated to a Ukraine relief fund.

Date and time: Saturday, October 1 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Venue: Museum of Literature, Green Studio (1-1-4 Onitaka, Lifelong Learning Center 2F)
