1. Three types of support for disaster prevention in Ichikawa

This year marks one hundred years since the Great Kanto Earthquake in 1923.
Three types of support: your own preparation, support between yourself and your neighbors and public support.

≪This month’s notice≫ － Gathering information during a disaster
Various information becomes available at the time of a disaster, and it sometimes becomes difficult to judge which information is right, or which information is the latest. Ichikawa City sends out information using multiple media. Everyone is encouraged to learn how to collect information in advance so that we can act calmly in case of a disaster.

2. Special exhibition “Amazing Story: The world of pop-up books”

Illustrations pop up, move and make noises as you turn a page. Pop-up books are filled with full of creativity and playful ideas. First published in the late 18th century in Europe, pop-up books continue to draw attention from children to adults worldwide even to this date. In this exhibition, its history and varieties are introduced in addition to displays. There is a photo booth where you can become a character of a book. 10 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.（until 6 p.m. on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays）
※Closed on Mondays. Doors close 30 minutes before closing.

General: 500 yen, Persons aged 65 and over: 400 yen, high school/university students: 250 yen, junior high school students and younger: free of charge

3. The city loans entrance preparation fees

The city loans part of entrance preparation fees to parents/guardians who have difficulty financing for their children entering high school, technical school, junior college or university. There is a screening process for each applicant. Please apply early because applications are accepted even before entrance exam results become available.

【Application periods】
Monday, October 2 to Wednesday, January 31, 2024.

【How to pay back】
Install payments within 3 years after completing the school.

【Eligibility】
Applicants must meet all the following requirements:
（1）A parent/guardian is living in the city.
（2）Has difficulty financing entrance preparation fees.（Income restrictions apply.）
（3）Has a guarantor who is not a family member residing together and has an annual income of more than 1.3 million yen in fiscal 2022.

4. Invitations to Chiba Lotte Marines official baseball games

Paired with Chiba Lotte Marines in a Friendship City Agreement, the city will invite our fellow residents to their official baseball games in a lucky draw. Each resident can apply for one game from the following seven games.

　- against Hokkaido Nippon Ham Fighters
④ Friday, September 1
　- against Tohoku Rakuten Golden Eagles

　- against Orix Buffaloes
※Games begin at 6 p.m. for ① to ⑥, and at 5 p.m. for ⑦.

ZOZO Marine Stadium（1, Mihama, Mihama-ku, Chiba City）

【Eligibility】
300 pairs of persons（600 persons）living, working and/or studying in Ichikawa City will be chosen by lot.

10 p.m. on Sunday, August 20.

1. ぼうさい（じしんや　たいふうなどで　うける　さいがいを　できるだけ　なくし　いのちや　せいかつを　まもること）の　おしらせ

ことしは　かんとうだいしんさい（1923ねんに　かんとうで　おきた　おおきな　じしん）から　100ねんが　たちます。
　じじょ： じぶんで　じゅんびを　すること
　きょうじょ： ちかくに　すんでいる　ひとたちと　たすけあうこと
　こうじょ： じちたいなどが　こまっている　ひとたちを　たすけること

≪こんげつの　おしらせ≫ － さいがいが　おきたときの　じょうほうの　あつめかた
さいがいが　おきると　たくさんの　じょうほうが　ながれます。なにが　ただしいのか、どれが　いちばんあたらしいのか　わからない　ばあいが　あります。
いちかわしは　さまざまな　ほうほうで　じょうほうを　だしています。ひつような　ときに　じょうほうが　わかるように　いまから　じょうほうの　あつめかたを　かくにんしましょう。

2. きかくてん「あめいじんぐ・すとーりー　しかけえほんの　せかいてん」

ほんを　ひろげると　えが　とびだしたり　ひっぱると　うごいたり　おとが　でる　ほんを　「しかけえほん」と　よびます。しかけえほんは　18せいきの　こうはんに　はじめて　よーろっぱで　つくられました。いまも　せかいじゅうで　こどもから　おとなまで　たくさんの　ひとに　あいされています。
この　きかくてんでは　いろいろな　しかけえほんを　みたり　れきしを　まなんだり　することが　できます。えほんに　でてくる　ひとに　なって　しゃしんを　とることが　できる　ばしょも　あります。たのしい　しかけえほんの　せかいを　みにきてください。こちらの　ちらし（PDF）も　みてください。

こどもが　こうとうがっこう、せんしゅうがっこう、たんきだいがく、だいがくへ　はいるための　じゅんびに　ひつような　おかねに　こまっている　ひとへ　おかねを　かします（※おかねを　かしてもらうには　しんさが　あります。）
がっこうに　ごうかくする　まえでも　しんせいできます。はやめに　もうしんでください。
