1. Three types of support for disaster prevention in Ichikawa

This year marks one hundred years since the Great Kanto Earthquake in 1923.
Three types of support: your own preparation, support between yourself and your neighbors and public support.

≪This month’s notice≫ － Protect our own town with our own hands
In the event of a major disaster such as a big earthquake, we may not be able to get immediate support from fire station or police. Under such circumstances, “disaster prevention voluntary groups” that are organized by community associations or residents themselves become very helpful.

【Getting involved in a disaster prevention voluntary group】

（3）Participate in a disaster prevention voluntary group and conduct disaster prevention drills

2. Let’s enjoy local festivals

≪Ichikawa Citizens’ Festival≫
It’s the biggest festival in the city in which a variety of lively entertainment are performed on stage, and many booths are set up for the sales of food and miscellaneous goods. For more information, please see the Citizens’ fesitval Website.

≪Gyotoku Festival 2023≫
The theme for this year is “Gyotoku, the best town of Mikoshi in Japan.” There will be mikoshi parades, dances, music and other stage performances by residents, and kitchen truck food sales. For more information, please see the Gyotoku Festival Website.

3. Let’s get to know more about “Kodomo Shokudo（Children’s Canteen）”

The “Food Ribbon” project is currently expanding nationwide. It is an initiative in which local communities and restaurants work together to set up a system that provides children with meals. Kodomo Shokudo is a safe place where a child can visit on his/her own and eat meals free of charge or at a low price. It is also a place where children can play, study or be themselves. 4. The 3rd Support Ukraine Charity Festival

【Date and time】
Saturday, October 28, from 1:30 p.m. to 5 p.m.（Doors open at 1 p.m.）

（2F, Lifelong Learning Center, 1-1-4, Onitaka, Ichikawa City）

【Tickets】
1,500 yen. 500 yen for elementary school children. Preschool aged children are free of charge. General seating only.
※All proceeds will be donated for Ukraine support causes.

にほんで　「ふーど　　りぼんぷろじぇくと」が　ひろがっています。「ふーど　りぼん　ぷろじぇくと」は　ちいきの　おとなと　いんしょくてん（たべものを　たべたり　のみものを　のんだり　することが　できる　みせ）が　きょうりょくして　こどもたちが　ごはんを　たべることが　できる　しくみを　つくっています。 こどもしょくどうは　こどもが　ひとりで　いくことが　できる　ばしょです。ごはんを　むりょう　または　やすくたべることが　できる　ばしょです。ごはんを　たべるだけではなく　あそんだり　べんきょうしたり　じぶんらしく　すごすことが　できる　ばしょにも　なっています。
