1. Three types of support for disaster prevention in Ichikawa

This year marks one hundred years since the Great Kanto Earthquake in 1923.
Three types of support: your own preparation, support between yourself and your neighbors and public support.

≪This month’s notice≫ － What is the difference between “evacuation site” and “evacuation shelter”?
Earthquakes occur unexpectedly. We all should think about various situations ahead of time and plan when and where we can evacuate at the time of earthquakes.

【Evacuation sites（parks and school yards, etc.）】
Evacuation sites are the first place to evacuate in order to stay away from the danger of aftershocks and fire. In principle, they are outdoor spaces where people can evacuate anytime.

【Evacuation shelters（elementary schools and community centers, etc.）】
Evacuation shelters are facilities for displaced people to live temporarily due to a loss of private residences. Once a disaster situation is settled for a certain degree, evacuation shelters become available depending on the situation of evacuees and damage.

2. Christmas concert – music of violin and piano

Please enjoy a live performance of violin and piano for the holiday season.

3. Winter tradition – Illumination that adds colors to stations

Special ornaments that differ in each district will be set up in the city this year again. Please enjoy the illumination producing the winter ambiance in Ichikawa City.

Mid-December to Wednesday, February 14, 2024 from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.

【Venue】
Kitakokubun Station on the Hokuso line, JR Ichikawa station, JR Motoyawata station, Tokyo metro Myoden station, Tokyo metro Gyotoku station and Tokyo metro Minami Gyotoku station.

4. I-link Town observatory facility “Special viewing of the first rising sun on January 1, 2024”

The first time in four years, a special viewing of the rising sun will be held at the 150-meter-high I-link Town observatory facility.

January 1, 2024（Monday, public holiday）from 6 a.m. to 8 a.m.

【Venue】
I-link Town observatory facility, observatory lobby and the top floor
（The towers west 45F, 1-10-1, Ichikawa Minami, Ichikawa City）
※In case of severe weather and strong wind, entrance to the top floor may be regulated.

【Eligibility】
60 groups are chosen by a draw. Applicants must be residents of Ichikawa City.
※Up to 4 people in one group. Applicants can only apply once.

Please apply here by Monday, December 11.
Results will be sent by email by Wednesday, December 20.

　こうじょ： じちたいなどが　こまっている　ひとたちを　たすけること

≪こんげつの　おしらせ≫ －「ひなんばしょ」と　「ひなんじょ」の　ちがいは　　なんですか？
じしんは　きゅうに　おこります。じしんが　おきたときの　ひなん（あんぜんな　ばしょに　にげること）について　じぜんに（まえまえから）　いつ・どこへ　ひなんを　するか　かんがえましょう。

【ひなんばしょ（こうえんや　がっこうの　こうていなど）】
じしんが　おきた　あと　よしん（さいしょの　じしんの　あとに　おきる　ちいさい　じしん）や　かさい（ひが　でて　にげる　ひとが　けがを　したりすること）の　きけんから　にげるため　まず　ひなんする　ばしょ。ひなんばしょは　たいてい　たてものの　そとに　あります。いつでも　ひなんを　することが　できます。

【ひなんじょ（しょうがっこうや　こうみんかん）】
じしんが　おちついてから　じしんで　いえが　こわれた　ひとが　ひなんを　して　せいかつを　する　ばしょです。ひなんを　する　ひとや　ひがい（ものが　こわれたり　ひとが　けがを　すること）の　おおきさを　みて　ひなんじょを　あけることを　きめます。

2. くりすますこんさーと　ばいおりんと　ぴあのの　おんがく

くりすますの　きせつです。ばいおりん（がっきのなまえ）と　ぴあの（がっきのなまえ）を　えんそうします。ぜひ　きてください。

ことしも　ばしょに　よって　ちがった　かざりを　つけます。いちかわしの　ふゆを　きれいに　みせる　いるみねーしょん（あかりの　かざり）を　たのしんでください。
