1. Rubella antibody test and vaccination for adults

When women in their early stage of pregnancy contract rubella, their babies may be born with disabilities in their eyes, ears and/or hearts. Ichikawa City subsidizes rubella vaccination fees for women planning to become pregnant and partners in case test results show that their antibodies are low.

2. Have you applied for the emergency support benefits for the utility/food price hike?

The application deadline is Tuesday, January 31. (Postmark also must be stamped by Jan. 31.) If you have not completed your application, please apply by the due date.

3. New sewerage charge will be applied from Saturday, April 1

In principle, sewerage operation costs are covered by usage fees paid by beneficiaries. However, due to revenue shortages every fiscal year, the city supplements the costs using public funds (city tax, etc.). In order to improve the current situation, and to manage the operation more stably and sustainably, the city will revise the usage fees.

4. The city plans to subsidizes 9-valent cervical cancer vaccines

Starting from April, the city plans to add 9-valent cervical cancer vaccines (sylgard9) as one of eligible vaccines for public subsidies. The details will be announced as the information becomes available. Vaccination up to March will not be subsidized.

5. Chiba-kun global partners are wanted

Please help us make Chiba Prefecture more attractive and livable. Application deadline is Monday, February 13.
There will be no monetary reward, but transportation fees will be provided when participating in particular events.

Persons living, working or going to school in Chiba Prefecture.
Have a good command of Japanese reading, writing and speaking skills.
Have a social media account and use it for sharing information with others.
Are fond of Chiba Prefecture, and want to help make Chiba more livable.
