1.“Ichikawa Residents New Year Marathon” applications are now open

The year 2024 marks the 90th anniversary of Ichikawa City becoming a city, and various events are scheduled to commemorate the occasion. The Ichikawa Residents New Year Marathon is going to be held first among other events. For more information including categories and registration, please see the Ichikawa City official website or the marathon flyer.

January 1, 2024, public holiday, from 9 a.m. to 12 noon.（Registration: 8 a.m. to 8:40 a.m.）

【Eligibility】
Persons living, working or studying in Ichikawa City who are Grade 4 or older.
※Persons who graduated from school in Ichikawa are also eligible regardless of current address.

Junior high school students / anyone in walking category: 1,000 yen
High school students or older / anyone in family category: 2,000 yen

2. Wheelchair Basketball Festa 2023

While meeting basketball players, participants will have a chance to sit in a sport wheelchair, to try throwing a basketball, to get a photo taken, and to bet their luck in a lottery. This event is open for all.（Wheelchair trials are for persons aged 3 or older. Children of Grade 2 or younger must be accompanied by adults.）

3. Partial subsidies for elementary school entrance fees

Partial subsidies for elementary school entrance fees are provided to parents/guardians of children who are scheduled to enroll in a public elementary school in April 2024 and who meet all the following requirements indicated in（1）and（2）.

【Eligibility】
（1）Registered residents of Ichikawa City.
（2）Persons who are not in receipt of public assistance, but in financial difficulty equivalent to households that are receiving public assistance.

【Amount of support】
54,060 yen

【Application deadline】
Thursday, December 28
※Subsidies are scheduled to be provided in late March, 2024.

【How to apply】
Please fill out the form that will be distributed during the health check, and submit with required documents to the Division of School Attendance Support（2-20-2, Minami Yawata, Ichikawa City Hall Building 2）.

4. A part of influenza vaccine fees for children is subsidized

In response to recent influenza outbreaks, the city subsidies a part of influenza vaccine fees as an immediate measure. For more information such as application period and how to apply, please see the Ichikawa City official website.

【Eligibility】
Children aged 6-months old and older up to Grade 6 students who are registered residents of Ichikawa City as of vaccination date.

【Subsidies】
1,500 per time（up to two subsidies per person）

ばすけっとぼーるの　せんしゅと　いっしょに　たのしい　じかんを　すごすことが　できます。すぽーつを　するときに　つかう　くるまいすに　すわってみたり　ばすけっとぼーるを　なげてみたり　することが　できます。ふぉとぶーす（しゃしんを　とるところ）や　ちゅうせんかい（ぷれぜんとを　もらうことが　できる　かい）も　あります。
しょうがい（からだに　ふじゆうな　ぶぶんが　あること）に　かんけいなく　だれでも　さんかすることが　できます。くるまいすの　たいけんが　できる　ひとは　3さいいじょうです。しょうがく2ねんせいまでは　ほごしゃ（おかあさんや　おとうさんなど）と　さんかしてください。
