1. The Gardena official delegation visits Ichikawa, commemorating the 60th anniversary of sister city relations

Gardena City（California, USA）has been a sister city of Ichikawa City since 1962.
The two cities conducted reciprocal visits this year to commemorate the 60th anniversary of sister city relations after one year of suspension due to the corona pandemic.（Please see here for the information about Gardena City and the reciprocal visits.）
The Gardena official delegation, consisting of 15 people, visited Ichikawa City from October 31 to November 4. Various events were held during the five days including a courtesy call on the mayor and the council chairperson, a welcome dinner party, participation in the Ichikawa Citizens’ Festival and a tour of the Fire Bureau and a library. Also, as a way to commemorate the 60th anniversary of sister city relations, two streets in the Gyotoku / Myoden areas going by the names of the “Gardena-dori Avenue” and “California Road” were officially recognized as municipal street nicknames, and the unveiling ceremony of the road signs was held on November 3 in a welcome event.

2. Free Christmas decoration workshop

Let’s make small Christmas decorations together using pine cones, acorns, nuts and scrap materials that you can find at home such as wrapping paper. This workshop is free of charge, and the decorations are easy to make for all. Please bring a bag with you to bring your decoration home.

3. Distribution of Ichikawa Information Handbook（Ichikawa Benri-cho）

The city will start distributing “the Ichikawa Information Handbook 2023-2024”, which runs the information on city administration, administrative procedures and public facilities, to all households in the city from late December. In case a copy doesn’t reach you by Thursday, February 1, 2024, please inform the Division of Public Relations and Public Hearings（047-712-8632）.

1. しまいとしの　がーでなしが　60しゅうねんの　きねんに　いちかわしに　きました

いちかわしは　1962ねんから　がーでなし（あめりか　かりふぉるにあしゅう）の　しまいとしです。
しんがたころなういるすかんせんしょうの　かんけいで　１ねん　えんき（のばすこと）しましたが　いちかわしと　がーでなしは　しまいとし60しゅうねんの　きねん（おいわいを　すること）に　ことし　おたがいの　しを　ほうもんしました。（がーでなしの　じょうほうや　ほうもんについては　ここを　みてください。）
10がつ　31にちから　11がつ　4にちまで　15にんの　がーでなしの　ひとたちが　いちかわしに　きて　いろいろな　ことを　しました。しちょうや　ぎちょうへ　あうために　しやくしょに　きました。いちかわしみんまつりに　さんかしました。しょうぼうしょや　としょかんや　がっこうなどの　しさつ（その　ばしょへ　いって　まなぶこと）を　しました。そして　しまいとし60しゅうねんの　きねんに　ぎょうとくと　みょうでんにある　「がーでな　どおり」と　「かりふぉるにあ　ろーど」を　いちかわしの　どうろの　あいしょう（とくべつな　なまえ）に　することが　きまりました。11がつ　3にちに　どうろの　かんばんの　じょまくしき（みんなに　みせる　しき）を　おこないました。
くわしい　じょうほうは　いちかわしこうしきうぇぶさいとや　こうほうばんぐみ「いちにゅ～」を　みてください。

2. まつぼっくりで　くりすますの　かざりを　いっしょに　つくりましょう

まつぼっくりや　どんぐりなどを　つかったり　おかしを　つつむ　かみなど　いえに　ある　ものを　つかったりして　すてきな　くりすますの　かざりを　いっしょに　てづくりしましょう。さんかするための　おかねは　いりません。くりすますの　かざりは　だれでも　かんたんに　つくることが　できます。つくったものを　もってかえるための　ふくろを　もってきてください。

いちかわしやくしょに　かんけいが　ある　じょうほうが　のっている　「いちかわべんりちょう（2023ねんから　2024ねん）」を　いちかわしの　すべての　いえに　12がつげじゅんから　じゅんばんに　くばります。2024ねん　2がつ　1にち（もくようび）を　すぎても　「いちかわべんりちょう」が　とどかない　ばあいは　こうほうこうちょうか（047-712-8632）に　れんらくしてください。
