1. To all bicyclists

Of all the traffic accidents that occur in Ichikawa City, about 34 percent are bicycle-related.（About 24 percent occur within Chiba Prefecture.）Everyone needs to be well-prepared in order to protect themselves from accidents.

Wear a helmet to save your life!

More than 50 percent of victims who lost their lives in bicycle accidents sustained head injuries. The City of Ichikawa provides residents with partial subsidies（2,000 yen）for purchasing a helmet. The subsidies will end when the budget is depleted. To protect your life and the lives of your loved ones, we advise you to purchase a helmet while the subsidy is available. Make sure to purchase bicycle insurance – it is mandatory!

There has been an accident in which a cyclist was the perpetrator and was ordered to pay nearly 100 million yen in damages. Join a bicycle insurance program to prepare for a possible accident.

Be a “considerate Ichikawa resident”!

（1）Ride on the left side of the street. Bicycles are vehicles.
（2）Yield to pedestrians. When pedestrians are around, slowdown or walk your bicycle.
（3）Do not cycle while doing something else. Using an umbrella, your smartphone or earphones while cycling is dangerous.
（4）Always check for safety when entering an intersection. Even if there are no traffic lights or signs, slow down or stop your bicycle and check the area around you.
（5）Turn on your lights in the evening. Since more accidents are likely occur in the evening, turn on your lights early.

2. Ichikawa City Fireworks Festival

【Dates and time】
Saturday, August 2 from 7:15 p.m. to 8:20 p.m.
（The event will be cancelled if launching the fireworks is impossible.）

【Venue】
Edogawa River riverside

【Cautions】

• The south exit of JR Ichikawa station will be extremely crowded. It is dangerous to wait for family and friends inside and/or near Ichikawa station.
• Please bring your garbage home.
• Securing a seating spot in advance is now allowed.
• Smoking cigarettes or heated tobacco products is not allowed in the venue.
• Please do not watch the fireworks from pedestrian overpasses, streets or cycling roads.
• Parking at Osu Bosai Park will not be available from 3 p.m. on August 1 to 11 p.m. on August 2.
• Bringing or flying drones at the venue is prohibited.

3. Let’s go to the Archeological and Historical Museums during the summer vacation!

The Archeological and Historical Museums are going to hold various events during the summer vacation such as a stamp rally, cord braiding and old-fashioned games.For more information, please see the Ichikawa City official website.

Summer Vacation Stamp Rally

Collect stamps by visiting exhibition rooms at Archeological and Historical Museums. Those who collect all the stamps will receive a water yo-yo.

いちかわしで　おきる　こうつうじこ（どうろで　おきる　くるまや　じてんしゃの　じこ）は　やく34％が　じてんしゃの　じこです。（ちばけんは　やく24％が　じてんしゃの　じこです。）じこから　み（からだ）を　まもることができるように　しましょう。

いのちを　まもる　へるめっと（あたまを　まもる　どうぐ）を　かぶりましょう

じてんしゃの　じこで　なくなった　ひとの　50％いじょうが　あたまに　けがを　しています。いちかわしではいちかわしに　すんでいる　ひとに　へるめっとを　かう　おかねの　いちぶ（2,000えん）を　だしています。（よさんが　なくなったら　おわりです）。じぶんと　たいせつな　ひとの　いのちを　まもるために　へるめっとを　まだ　かっていない　ひとは　かいましょう。もうしこみの　ほうほうは　いちかわし　こうしき　うぇぶさいとを　みてください。

じてんしゃほけんに　はいることは　ぎむ（やらなければ　ならないこと）です

じてんしゃに　のっている　ひとが　おこした　じこで　やく1おくえんの　ばいしょうきん（けがをした　ひとへはらう　おかね）を　せいきゅうされたことも　あります。じてんしゃに　のる　ひとは　かならず　じてんしゃほけんに　はいりましょう。

「いちかわしの　おもいやり　めいじん」に　なろう！

（1）しゃどう（くるまが　はしる　みち）の　ひだりがわを　はしりましょう。じてんしゃも　くるまの　なかまです。
（2）ほこうしゃが　いる　ばあい　じてんしゃは　ゆっくり　すすみましょう。または　おして　あるきましょう。
（3）かさを　さしながら　じてんしゃに　のったり　すまーとふぉんや　いやほんを　つかったりしながら　じてんしゃに　のることは　きけんです。
（4）こうさてん（2ついじょうの　みちが　かさなる　ばしょ）では　しんごうや　ひょうしきが　なくても　ゆっくりすすんだり　いったん　とまったりして　まわりを　みましょう。
（5）ゆうがたから　じてんしゃの　でんきを　つけましょう。ゆうがたは　じこが　おきやすくなります。はやめに　でんきを　つけましょう。

こうこはくぶつかんと　れきしはくぶつかんでは　なつやすみに　いろいろな　あそびを　けいかくしています。すたんぷらりー（すたんぷを　あつめる　あそび）や　むかしの　あそびなどを　たのしむことが　できます。くわしい　じょうほうは　いちかわし　こうしき　うぇぶさいとを　みてください。

こうこはくぶつかんと　れきしはくぶつかんの　てんじしつを　まわって　すたんぷを　あつめましょう。ぜんぶ　あつめた　ひとは　みずが　はいった　よーよー（おもちゃ）を　もらうことが　できます。
