1. Influenza vaccination for the elderly

The city started administering influenza vaccines on October 1. Preliminary medical examination forms have been sent out to eligible residents. Please contact the city if you haven’t received your preliminary medical examination form.

Registered Ichikawa residents who meet either of the following requirements.
(1) Persons aged 65 years of age or over
(2) Persons aged 60 years of age or older who are extremely restricted in their daily activities due to compromised conditions in heart, kidneys or respiratory functions, or who can barely move due to the human immunodeficiency viruses (HIV); people with Disability Degree 1 or equivalent.

1,500 yen (Free of charge for those who are in receipt of public assistance or whose entire household is exempted from residential tax)

2. Partial subsidies for elementary school entrance fees

Eligibility:

Parents/guardians of children who are scheduled to enroll in a public elementary school in April 2023 must meet all the following requirements:
(1) Registered residents of Ichikawa City
(2) Not receiving public assistance, but in financial difficulty equivalent to households in receipt of public assistance

Children who were born between April 2, 2018 and April 1, 2019. Both children and their parents/guardians must be registered residents of Ichikawa City. Those children must not belong to private kindergartens.
・Application distribution: Monday, October 17 to Friday, October 21 between 2:15 p.m. and 4 p.m. at each kindergarten.
・Application submission: Monday, October 24 to Friday, October 28 between 2:15 p.m. and 4 p.m. at each kindergarten.
・Screening date: Thursday, November 17 at each kindergarten

5. COVID vaccines updates

The city has started administering bivalent vaccines. The bivalent vaccines are expected to be effective at protecting people from getting seriously ill, and preventing the infection as well as the onset of illness. Bivalent vaccines are given once per person. For the latest information, please see the Ichikawa City official website.

Persons aged 12 years of age and over who received the first or second booster at least 5 months ago.
