1. The city will conduct joint training in preparation for large-scale disasters

The city will reinforce its cooperation with disaster-prevention organizations and hold drills to raise awareness of disaster prevention. There will be an exhibition and activities that you can participate freely. Please note that there is no parking space at the venue. Please use public transportation. 2. Free legal consultations with translation services are available for foreign residents

Starting in October 2025, the Japan Legal Support Center in Chiba started legal consultations for foreign residents. You can seek advice from lawyers. For more information, please visit the Japan Legal Support Center official website.

English, Mandarin, Korean, Spanish, Portuguese, Vietnamese, Tagalog, Nepali, Thai and Indonesian.
In case you can find your own interpreter, you can receive consultation services in languages other than the 10 languages listed above.

3. Financial support for mock tests and university and other school entrance exams

In order to support the challenge that students in single-parent households and low-income households may have for further studies, the city provides them with monetary support. For more information, please see the Ichikawa City official website.

【Eligibility】
Third-year students in junior high or high school, persons aged 19 or younger must meet one of the following requirements:
（1）households in receipt of public assistance
（2）households in receipt of child-rearing allowance
（3）households with students who are eligible for school expense subsidies or high school student scholarship benefits
（4）tax-exempt households
（5）single-parent households raising minors where their household income is equivalent to public assistance
