1. Things to be mindful of during the Ichikawa Residents’ Fireworks Display

【Dates】
Saturday, August 1 from 7:15 p.m. to 8:20 p.m.

【Venue】
Edogawa Riverside （Osu 3 chome）

Things to be mindful of:

• The south exit of JR Ichikawa Station is expected to be extremely crowded. Avoid using the station and its vicinity as a meeting point, as it is unsafe.
• Please bring your garbage home.
• Holding a place in advance is not allowed.
• Smoking cigarettes and/or heated tobacco products is prohibited in the venue. Open flames, barbecues, and fireworks are prohibited
• Watching fireworks from pedestrian overpasses and cycling roads is not allowed, as it is dangerous.
• The bicycle parking lot at Osu Disaster Prevention Park will be closed from 3 p.m. the day before the fireworks display to 11 p.m. on the day of the event.
• Temporary bicycle parking is available at Osu Junior High School and the Gyotoku venue. Please note that the space is limited and that there is no car or motorbike parking. For more information, please visit this webpage＜外部リンク＞.
• On the day of the fireworks display, there will be traffic regulations on the streets near the venue. Please follow the instructions of the police and security staff.
• Use of drones in the venue is prohibited.

Business hours will change on Saturday, August 1

• The I-Link Town Observatory Facility will be closed as it will be used for the special fireworks viewing.
• The Ichikawa Station South Exit Library will also be closed. The book drop box is open until 3 p.m.
• The City Administration Service Center at Ichikawa Station and the I-Link Room/Hall are open until 5 p.m.

2. Notice about Shingles Vaccinations

Shingles is a disease that causes a rash. It is triggered by the reactivation of the varicella zoster virus, which typically infects children. The virus remains dormant until a weakened immune system caused by aging, stress, or overwork allows it to reactivate.
When the shingles develops, a red rash with blisters spreads in a band-like pattern along one side of the body and is accompanied by severe pain.
Shingles is more common among people aged 50 and older.
Since the shingles vaccine can prevent shingles and its complications, Ichikawa City provides partial cost subsidies for both routine and optional vaccinations.

3. Visit the Archaeological Museum and Historical Museums during Summer Vacation!

The museums are hosting various events, such as stamp rallies and braid making crafts, during the summer. For more information, please visit the Ichikawa City official website.

Summer Vacation Stamp Rally

Visit the exhibition rooms at museums to collect stamps. Water yo-yos will be given to participants who collect all the stamps.

【Eligibility】
Elementary school students and younger children. Up to 400 participants on a first-come, first-served basis.

Let’s make string straps

In this workshop, participants will braid the sturdy, beautiful straps seen in armor from the Kofun era and the treasures in the Shosoin from the Nara era. Participants can also make decorative friendship bracelets or necklaces.

【Dates】
July 20 （public holiday）, Sunday, July 26, Saturday, August 1, Sunday, August 9 and Sunday, August 23
From 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and from 1:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. on all dates.

Elementary school students and older. Preschool-age children are also welcome in some programs.

4. An event for parents and children to learn about flood control

The city is going to host a fun event where visitors can learn about the importance of flood control in the Mamagawa River. For more information, please visit the Ichikawa City official website.

【Date and time】
Saturday, July 25 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event will be cancelled in case of inclement weather.
You can call 047-334-1111 after 7 a.m. on July 25 and see if the event will take place.

【Venue】
The Okashiwa River First Flood Control Reservoir Green Space, and Okashiwa River Visitor Center
（Please come by public transportation as parking space is limited.）

【Programs】
Panel exhibition on flood control, exhibition of award-winning artworks from a painting contest, rainwater infiltration experiment, quizzes, mystery game, stamp rally, rubber ball scooping, and inflatable balloons.

注意してください

• JR市川駅南口は　たくさんの　人が　来て　とても　込みます。駅や　駅の　近くで　待ち合わせは　危ないので　やめてください。
• ごみは　自分の　家で　捨ててください。
• 花火大会が　始まる前に　座る　場所を　取ることは　できません。
• 花火大会の会場で　たばこや　かねつ式たばこを　吸うことは　できません。また、花火や　バーベキューなど　火を　使うことは　できません。
• 歩道橋や　サイクリングロードで　花火を　見ることは　危ないので　やめてください。
• 大洲防災公園の　駐車場は、7月31日（花火大会の　前の　日）午後3時から　8月1日午後11時まで　使うことが　できません。
• 自転車は、大洲中学校と行徳会場のりんじ駐輪場に　とめてください。とめることが　できる　自転車の数は　決まっています（車と　バイクの　駐車場は　ありません）。くわしい　情報は　こちらのWebページ＜外部リンク＞を　見てください。
• 花火大会の　日は、会場の　近くの　道路は　車が　通れません　（一部）。けいび員と　警察の　言うことを　聞いてください。

• アイ・リンクタウンてんぼうしせつは　入ることが　できません。
• 市川駅南口図書館は　休みます。返却ポスト（本を　返すための　箱）は　午後3時までです。

2. 帯状疱疹（びょうきの　名前）の　よぼうせっしゅ（病気に　ならないように　するための　注射）の　お知らせ

帯状疱疹は、子どもの　ときに　かかって　水ぼうそう（病気の　名前）に　かかったときに　体の　中に　入ったウイルスによって　起こる　病気です。かれい（年を　とること）や　ストレス、疲れによって　病気が　始まります。
病気が　始まると　赤い　ほっしんが　体の　左　または　右に　広がります。とても　痛いです。
帯状疱疹は　50歳以上になると　かかりやすくなります。
帯状疱疹の　よぼうせっしゅを　受けると、帯状疱疹を　ふせぐことが　できます。

市川市は　よぼうせっしゅを　受けるための　お金の　一部を　払います。くわしい　情報は　市川市公式Webサイトを　見てください。

3. 夏休みは 考古・歴史博物館に　出かけよう

考古博物館・歴史博物館では　夏休みに　スタンプラリーや　ひもストラップ作りなど　いろいろな　イベントを　行います。くわしい　情報は　市川市公式Webサイトを　見てください。

考古・歴史博物館の　てんじ室の　中で　スタンプを　集めます。全部　集めた　人は　水ヨーヨーを　もらうことが　できます。

ひもストラップを　作ろう

日本の　こふん時代（約1700年前）　から　使われている　強くて　美しい　ひもを　作ります。
ひもストラップだけでなく　てくびに　付ける　かざり（ブレスレット）や　ネックレスも　作ることができます。
