1. Applications are open! Residents’ New Year Marathon
For details including categories, please visit the official Ichikawa City website or check the event pamphlet.
Participants will receive one hundred ICHICO points.

January 1, 2027（public holiday）from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. （Registration is from 8 a.m. to 8:40 a.m.）
Rain or Shine.

Sports Center and its vicinity.
Pamphlets are distributed at the Division of Sports Promotion in Ichikawa City Hall Building 1, in PR paper racks throughout the city except JR and Tokyo Metro stations, in Civic Gymnasiums throughout the city, and in Community Halls throughout the city.
【Eligibility and Quota】
Grade 4 students and older individuals who live, work or study in the city.
Members of the Ichikawa Sports Association and Ichikawa Arukokai, and people who have graduated from schools in the city.
Nine hundred people will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.
【Fees】
Junior high school students / Walking: 1,000 yen, High school students / Family: 2,000 yen. Handling charges apply.
How to pay: Credit cards, Pay-easy, convenience stores, Rakuten Pay. If you apply by phone, payment can only be made at a convenience store.

2. The city will conduct joint training exercises to prepare for large-scale disasters
In addition to practical drills, there will be interactive and exhibition areas featuring booths from relevant agencies and organizations, as well as displays of specialized vehicles. An evacuation shelter drill will also be conducted in a junior high school gymnasium.

3. Ichikawa Sanbanze Festival
The event will feature a variety of activities, including the sale of assortments of fish caught that same day （available via same-day lottery）, the sale of marine products landed at Ichikawa Fishing Port, and workshops on the traditional production of seaweed and salt. Visitors can also observe creatures inhabiting the Sanbanze tidal flats and view exhibitions about the Sanbanze area. Chiba University of Commerce is scheduled to have an exhibit.
