1. The Ichi-Lunch “Sister City Fair” will be held
Health-conscious bento boxes, made by local proprietors, and known as Ichi-Lunch, are sold on the seventh floor of Ichikawa City Hall Building 1. During the period shown below, the city will hold the Sister City Fair and sell bento boxes featuring our sister, friendship and partner cities. 2. Notice regarding extension of temporary measure period for city-designated garbage bags
Regarding the temporary measure for city-designated garbage bags that the city announced on June 12 on the Ichi-LINE, the city has extended the temporary measure period due to the on-going shortage of bags and to manage household waste during the summer months.

※Only use bags that meet all the following conditions if the city-designated garbage bags are difficult to obtain.
The bags must be:
- Transparent or translucent so you can see what is inside
- Without any holes
- The same size as the city-designated garbage bags （15 to 45 liters）
- For burnable waste: Write “もやす” on the bags
- Plastic containers and wrapping: Write “プラ” on the bags
※ You cannot use black or dark-colored opaque bags, small shopping bags, or bags from other cities. The collection days, times and separation methods remain the same.
【Period】
This measure is valid until Monday, August 31.
The period could be extended. Please use the city-designated garbage bags as much as possible.

3. The city subsidizes part of the cost of purchasing a bicycle helmet
The Road Traffic Act was revised on April 1, 2023. All bicyclists are now encouraged to do their best to wear a helmet. To mitigate damage from traffic accidents, it is important to protect your head. The city subsidizes part of the cost of purchasing a bicycle helmet （up to 2,000 yen） to raise awareness of traffic rules and encourage the widespread use of bicycle helmets. 【Application period】
From Wednesday, July 1, 2026 to Friday, February 5, 2027. （Applications are only accepted online on Saturdays, Sundays, public holidays, and Year-end/New Year holidays.）
【Eligibility】
You are eligible if you are a registered resident at the time of purchase and application and purchased a helmet between January 1, 2026 and February 5, 2027.
（Applications are accepted only once per person. Those who have received subsidies in past years are not eligible.）

【Required documents】
（1）A copy of the receipt（it must show the date, price and item purchased）.
（2）A copy of a public ID with your face photo, address, and date of birth printed, such as a driver’s license or My Number card. If applicants are minors, health insurance eligibility certificates, medical expense recipient certificates, or student IDs are also acceptable.
（3） Proof of your helmet’s safety standard （either your helmet itself or a photo of the safety standard seal on the helmet）
（4） A copy of your bank book or cash card to which the subsidy will be paid.

4. For those who have not yet received an ICHICO card from the City
To mitigate the negative influence of the recent price hike, the city has been sending eligible residents a card with 4,500 yen worth of ICHICO points since April, 2026. If you haven’t received a card due to an absence form home or for other reasons, please schedule an appointment to receive a card at an ICHICO Support Counter. For more information, please visit the Ichikawa City official website.

Until Monday, December 28 （ICHICO points are valid until Thursday, December 31.）

【Things to bring】
（1）Public ID with your face photo（If you don’t have one, you need to present multiple forms of ID. If your proxy is going to receive your ICHICO card, both your ID and your proxy’s ID are required.）

6月12日の いちLINEで 市川市の 指定ではない 袋を 使って ごみを 出すことができると お知らせしました。市川市の 指定の ごみ袋は 今も 少ないままです。夏の間も ごみを 出すことができるように 市川市の 指定ではない 袋を 使うことが できる 日にちを のばします。

※買うことが できなかったときは 下の （1）から （4）まで すべてに 合う 袋を 使うことが できます。
- 中に 入っている 物が 見える プラスチックの 袋
- あなが 空いていない 袋
- 市川市の ごみ袋と 同じ 大きさ（15～45リットル）
- 燃やす ごみ → 袋に 「もやす」と 書いてください。

3. 自転車に 乗るときに 被る ヘルメットを 買うための お金を 市川市が 2,000円まで 払います
2023年4月1日に 道路交通法（車や 自転車に 乗るときの 決まり）が 変わりました。自転車に 乗る 全ての 人は ヘルメットを できるだけ 被らなくては いけません。交通じこが 起きたときに いのちを まもるためには、頭を まもることが 大切です。交通いしき（決まりを まもって じこを 起こさないようにすること）を 高めて、多くの 人がヘルメットを 被るようにするため、ヘルメットを 買う お金の 2,000円まで 市川市が 払います。くわしい 情報は 市川市公式Webサイトを 見てください。

7月1日（水曜）から 2027年2月5日（金曜）までです。

4. ICHICO（いちこ）カードを まだ 受けとっていない 人へ
物価（物や サービスの 値段）が 上がっているので 4,500円の 買いものが できる ICHICOカードを 4月から 市民へ 送っています。まだ 受けとっていない 人は 予約を してから 市役所で 受けとってください。くわしい 情報は 市公式Webサイトを 見てください。
